“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58, NIV 1984).
My Musings – To stand firm means to remain steadfast in our convictions despite attacks, persecution, or efforts to persuade us otherwise. No one or no thing should be able to move us from where we stand. If we do not stand firm, if we allow something to move us, we cannot possibly give ourselves fully to those convictions. As an encouragement, this verse assures us that remaining true, going all in (fully), will not be in vain (futile).
