“The LORD said, ‘I have indeed seen the misery of my people…I have heard them crying out…and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them…the cry…has reached me…So now, go. I am sending you.'” (Ex 3:7–10, NIV 1984).

My Musings – When my son was very little, just barely walking, he needed to hold my hand when we crossed the street or stepped out into the parking lot at the shopping center. But his outstretched hand could not quite reach mine. So I needed to stoop to reach down and take his hand.

God is so far above us that there is no way our we could ever reach Him on our own. So He comes down. He came down to Moses. He came down in the person of Christ. He will return down at the consummation of the ages. In the meantime, when…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
