As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. (Mark 10:17–18, NIV 1984).
My Musings – “All power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely.” (Lord Acton). Aren’t you glad this is not true? In the Star Wars fantasy, the “Force” had a dark side. In Greek, Roman and Norse mythology, the “gods” had their less than virtuous sides. The God of the Bible is omnipotent yet judges only in righteousness. No dark side, no evil. No corruption. Only good. All the time.
My Advice – This is a God you want to follow. He is, in fact, the only God. All others are fantasy or myth.
