
“But what about you?” [Jesus] asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. My Musings – It was late on a Friday afternoon and darkness had fallen over the land. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”—which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. (Mark 15:34, 37, NIV 1984). Silenced at last. The gates of Hell had prevailed. Culture cancelled. Or so it was thought. It was Friday night…
