The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.  (Revelation 22:17, KJV). 

My Musings – Will.  Used to express desire, choice, willingness, consent, or in negative constructions refusal.  God created us free of sin, but with a free will.  The ability to choose or refuse. We willed to sin.  Refusing to obey God’s simple command.  The only command.

This left God with a choice.  To provide a remedy or not.  His will was to provide a remedy.  The death of His Son on the cross to pay the penalty of our willing sinfulness.  His Son also had a choice. But He willingly went to His crucifixion.  He could have called a legion of angels to prevent His death had He chosen to.  But He did not.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
