In the past God overlooked [our] ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.” (Acts 17:30–31. NIV 1984).
My Musings – The just standard of measurement by which God will judge us is “by the man He has appointed,” proven to be just “by raising Him from the dead.” Know anyone that fits that description? Only one. There is no other. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12, NIV 1984).
My Advice – Don’t just know about Him, that will not be enough to measure up. Know Him personally. “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (Romans 10:8–10, NIV 1984).
