Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross. (Hebrews 12:1–2, NIV 1984).
My Musings – The race we run has already been marked out for us. Our inspiration, for how we should run the race, is Jesus. He endured what was marked out for Him (the cross) because He was able to see beyond the cross. He knew what awaited Him at the finish line. Likewise, we can persevere by fixing our eyes on what await us at the finish line – “Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”
My Advice – Fixing our eyes on the goal helps us stay on course. Taking our eyes off the goal causes us to run outside the “markings.” Stay in your “lane.”
