Do This More And More

Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 4:1–2, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Living a life that is pleasing to the Lord. “Do this more and more.” Imagine getting to the point where we are living a life that is pleasing to God without even trying. Not doing so because we are making the effort, but because it has become our nature to do so.

My Advice – This should be our aspiration. It won’t be perfected in this lifetime, but we should be showing progress as we mature in the faith.
