The Brew Is A Musing

Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. (1 Corinthians 1:20, 25 – 27, NIV 1984).

My Musings – In recent years the social mores and social justice of the world has, in many respects, been disintegrating before our very eyes to downright foolishness. If the wisdom of this world is foolishness (lacking good sense or judgment) in the eyes of God, this recent foolishness must be downright absurd (wildly unreasonable, illogical, or inappropriate). Yet for the most part, the “wise and scholarly philosophers” of this age view the foolishness…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
