Darkened Wisdom

Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. (1 Corinthians 1:20, 25 – 27, NIV 1984).

My Musings – In recent years the social mores and social justice of the world has, in many respects, been disintegrating before our very eyes to downright foolishness. If the wisdom of this world is foolishness (lacking good sense or judgment) in the eyes of God, this recent foolishness must be downright absurd (wildly unreasonable, illogical, or inappropriate).
