The Brew Is A Musing

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”  (John 14:1-3, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Why do we trust some and not others?  We typically do not trust until we learn someone is trustworthy.  Rather, we withhold trust until they are proven trustworthy.  And how does one prove themselves to be trustworthy?  By an unbroken pattern of keeping their promises.  By demonstrating consistent reliability.

For Jesus to tell His disciples to “trust in God,” was an easy ask.  They knew from the Scriptures that “not one word has…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
