Worthy

Again, the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” They all condemned him as worthy of death. (Mark 14:61–64, NIV 1984).

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” (Revelation 5:11–12, NIV 1984).

My Musings – “Worthy of death?” The only One worthy. “Worthy…to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” The only One worthy.

My Advice – “What do you think?” Consider yourself unworthy and Him worthy. And He will not condemn you “as worthy of [eternal] death.”
