Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:23–26, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Wow, where has this passage been all my life? We know what they produce, but we wade on into them anyway. Instead of kind, gentle instruction that can lead to truth and repentance, we fall into a trap of resentment and quarreling and become captive to the devil’s will as well.
My Advice – I think that this passage should be required reading before we open, and every time we open, a “social” media website. And certainly, before engaging in dialogue with anyone with opposing opinions and views.
Definitely posting this verse on Twitter today! Thanks!

I’m sure I’ve read it many times. This time it just popped.
