Wait For It

“At the right time, I, the LORD, will make it happen.” (Isaiah 60:22, NLT 2015).

My Musings – While the immediate context of this passage relates to God’s promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that will find their ultimate fulfillment in the Millenium, I think that the principle also applies to our earthly sojourn.

What is it that you are waiting for? If it is in line with His will for your life, He will make it happen. At the right time. We are impatient people, but the right timing will always be better than our timing. If it is not in line with His will for your life, you can also be sure that His will, without exception, will always be better than our will.

My Advice – Wait for it. Even if the “it” is not what you asked for. You will not be disappointed in the ultimate timing, or the ultimate will.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
